AWARENESS ON HIV/AIDS

HIV/AIDS became a hub in India many years ago. But now it stands as a model to many countries in curbing it down. Annual New Infection (ANI) are estimated at 62.97 thousand in 2021 in India. There is an estimated 46.3% decline in ANI at national level from 2010-2021. And the mission still continues by way of awareness programs among students and adolescent boys and girls – especially in rural areas; otherwise, there’s every opportunity for increase of infections. Observed World AIDS Day on December 1^st of every year by way of conducting rallies and awareness to the public and at high school boys and girls. Networked closely with local health department in conducting awareness sessions to more than 1000 in various places.

• Awareness imparted to adolescent youth on protected sex and to overcome peer pressure
• Able to focus on the most sensitive topic where parents cannot enter
• Women volunteers took sessions to adolescent girls in schools and communities
