EDUCATIONAL AWARENESS AND SUPPORT
Education is the elixir for development of any nation. According to the report published by the National Survey of India, the literacy rate of the country in 2022 is 77.7 percent. As per the 2021-22 socio-economic survey, the state’s literacy rate (67.35%) is lower than the national average (77.7). Moreover, the 2011 census pegged the state at the 31st position in literacy, which stresses the need to improve literacy rate starting with children in rural villages. Keeping this in mind, CREED implemented education support programs in a large scale, with a major focus on the poor and backward class children starting from 5th standard to post graduation. The organization provided notebooks and other study materials to thousands of students studying in schools and colleges and also provided tuition fee to hundreds of poor students as part of encouraging children towards schooling and college education. There was a great response from parents also as they see a breakthrough in the lives of their children. Parents now look at their bright future and not mere temporary earnings from children’s labor.
